Key Facts

David Tomen is a U.S. writer and video creator specialized in nootropics – targeted supplements to improve brain health. He became interested in the field after struggling with ADD and memory loss himself, and began to deep-dive into clinical studies on supplements.

Today, his NootropicsExpert website and YouTube channel make scientific information on nootropic supplements available to a wide audience and help people struggling with conditions from PTSD to anxiety.

Our Work for NootropicsExpert

Why did you start working with Tasty Edits?

David Tomen: I work on nootropics – supplements that help brain health and can be used to support treatment of conditions like ADHD, PTSD, depression, and memory loss. I started out as a copywriter for supplements companies, but after doing a lot of research and reading a lot of clinical studies on PubMed for my work, I realized that this information wasn’t generally accessible.

So I started a website writing about these supplements, and I kept writing. Soon I was on the front page of search results and a heap of people were finding the website and they were coming to me for information – if they had a problem with ADHD or anxiety or depression, or OCD or brain injury, or PTSD.

I decided that I was going to start a YouTube channel, I didn’t know anything about that. But I did it purely for SEO reasons. I figured that if I take whatever I was writing about on the website… If I created a video out of that, I would get a link back to the website and that would improve my search ranking, and it was true. It worked – except the YouTube channel took off.

My goal is to get somebody to take over YouTube so that I can have more time to spend just writing. That’s what I’m really, really good at, and that’s how people found me in the first place. And there’s so much more to write about because there’s so much new science coming out every day.

David Tomen: The quality of what you’re doing is excellent, and I love that my channel manager is thinking outside the box. He’s doing stuff that I would never have thought to do.

I like the quality of the videos that you’re producing. I like the way my channel is being managed. And the initiatives that are being taken, including community posts and doing split testing on thumbnails. I think that’s excellent.
