Our Work for Darryl and Darren

Why did you start working with Tasty Edits?

Darren McGrath: We wanted to get the quality to a point that was consistent and felt right. We felt like Darryl had a great screen presence. So we saw that as a real opportunity and we wanted to take Darryl’s presence on screen and be able to adapt it, but create really high production values for YouTube.

“Those little check-ins are really reassuring. A lot of the time she responds in under an hour!”

What do you appreciate most about the editors at Tasty Edits?

Darryl Hodgson: Our editor is really picking up what we’re looking for. Everything is going smoothly and we’re really happy.

Darren McGrath: Our editor is really responsive as well. I’ll shoot her a note. Just to say: “Hey, how’s it going?” Not to pester her, but more to prompt if she has any questions. And she’ll say: “Hey, I’m 75% done with my edit now.” Those little check-ins are really reassuring. A lot of the time she responds in under an hour!

What has been your experience with Tasty Edits’ channel management service?

Darryl Hodgson: Working with our channel manager has been amazing. I think the best thing about Tasty Edits is having him around. He actually gives a crap and he is very involved. He has flexibility, which works out great when we’re out filming and he’ll move his meeting accordingly.

Just having him there is the best. Sometimes I felt like it was a higher price value for what you’re getting. But then other times it’s like blowing in out of Mexico – transitions, audio enhancements and all of that stuff.

The team has been great. Awesome.
