Our Work for Elliot Simmons on @ElliotSimms

Why did you start working with Tasty Edits?

Elliot Simmons: I started creating content on TikTok about five years ago, just random stuff. It slowly turned into storytelling content. On YouTube, I’ve got about 4.1 million subscribers. I’ve been editing my stuff forever – until YouTube started blowing up and became my main focus. Every single video was getting more than a million views. And I started doing more and more and more for a good two and a half months.

After a while, though, I started hitting a wall. I think the viewers felt like they were seeing the same thing and I was a little burnt out. Editing all the time was kind of hard for me. I was editing on my phone and it would take me so long – it was just brutal. That’s why I hit up Tasty Edits.
“I couldn’t do it anymore because I was running everything. I was doing the scripts, the filming, and the editing. And I was going crazy.“

What do you appreciate most about the editors at Tasty Edits?

Elliot Simmons: I found you guys and we had an initial meeting and then the first few videos I got, I was like, “Holy crap, this is golden.” Literally every single editor I work with is amazing. I’ve just been pushing everything and it’s worked out so well.
“The editors are also really quick. Today I got four videos ready to go in the course of two hours – and they were all fantastic.”

Elliot Simmons: Usually I don’t have to revise anything at all. The videos come back completely solid. My editors understand my style very well.

Beforehand, I was stressed doing this every day, but once we got into the groove it’s been fantastic. I can spend more time thinking about the videos I want to do and filming them – and then I pass the torch. My team is going to figure out the rest. It really is a relief, being able to hand this over and know it’s taken care of.

Especially before, when I would go on vacation, I would either have to pre-film and edit so much or spend my vacation watching my channel stats drop. That’s just the reality if you stop posting on YouTube for a few days.

Now, it’s just a huge relief – I get one email. Let’s check this. Perfect. Approved. Let’s post it. I can enjoy my time.

How has your channel developed since you started working with Tasty Edits?

Elliot Simmons: I hit 4 million subscribers a little after we started working together. Now I’m at 4,145,000 – and the subscribers are still coming in.

If I didn’t have Tasty Edits, I guarantee I would be ping-ponging off the bottom of a dip for a minute. There would have been a long lull in my video production. But now, my channel is healthy.

It’s steady and it’s just been growing. In every batch of videos, there is always a diamond – one of those videos that will give you a crazy burst, right? One will get like 20 million views and bump everything up for a while. That’s never forever, but my average has never been this high – and I couldn’t be happier with that.

Outsourcing video editing allows me to think about new strategies and the next level of the channel, which I was never able to do before.
“For the first time, I have the capacity to think about exploring other avenues. About the expansion of the channel, or building a community. Now I’m thinking about doing merch. Or putting in the first long-form video to be edited. I’m even thinking about streaming on YouTube.”
