Our Work for GRU Law

Why did you start working with Tasty Edits?

Geoffrey Cira: We are a full-service law firm based in Sacramento, CA and we service all of California, a little bit of Texas and a few other states. Our areas of practice are personal injury, estate planning, and civil litigation – everything from contract breach to employment disputes.

We started creating content to help people at a point in their lives where they are struggling with legal hurdles. It is something that we hold near and dear. We don’t try to sell people on these videos – the name of the game is trying to help folks. Still, many then come through our door for that help, and we represent them.

We came to Tasty Edits in dire need for a video editing solution. We had been producing content, but the editing hurdle had prevented us from posting consistently to YouTube and to our site.

β€œWe’re very impressed with the quality that’s come through. I can say for certain that Tasty Edits has upped our production value – probably double from where it was.”

What do you appreciate most about the editors at Tasty Edits?

Geoffrey Cira: Tasty Edits’ response time is beyond fast. We got on an initial call within a couple of days and you answered all of our questions and addressed all of our pain points. Once I saw the initial test video you edited, there was a huge weight taken off our shoulders. We can film as much as we want and we probably still won’t keep up with your editing speed.

We also really appreciate VOMA. It’s one of the cleanest portals I’ve worked with. It streamlines communication directly with the editor, which is amazing. It’s clean and we’re not waiting for e-mail communication, and we’re not getting our comms mixed up between projects.

Our editor is super responsive. I don’t know how she does what she does as fast as she does it. She has knocked out every single video in stride and there’s been minimal, if any, modifications that we’ve had to make.

The editing is top notch. We had one video where the sound was botched on one of the mics for a minute and a half and she was able to get a clean cut out of that footage. Don’t know how she did it.

Our thumbnail artist has been blowing me away as well. I think thumbnails are probably the hardest part of this thing – how do you capture a whole video in one image? Sometimes she nails it straight away and sometimes we ask her to do something else instead and she’ll immediately come back with it. I don’t think we’ve gotten past one or two revisions.

Why are you opting for YouTube channel management as well?

Geoffrey Cira: The biggest thing we’re excited for is to have people who are in the space consistently, helping us not only to clean up the channel but to optimize it and truly engage with everything YouTube is doing now. I don’t think we know all the layers there right now.

We’re really looking forward to having a helping hand with an analytical support behind it, to decide how we can most effectively use our time and produce content with measurable results.

I think it’s a valid expenditure. We’re excited to have a team that knows the space and can help us make decisions based on analytical data – and to seeing what that does for our channel and for the firm.
