Key Facts

MaJeliv is a YouTube channel run by the Vasquez family, which consists of parents Jose and Jennifer and kids Matthew, Jemi, and Josh. MaJeliv stands for Making Jesus’ Light Visible, a motto rooted in the family’s Christian faith.

The channel specializes in reaction videos to trailers, movies, and TV shows.

Our Work for MaJeliv

Why did you start working with Tasty Edits?

Matthew Vasquez: We wanted to hire a video editor to get more consistent with the volume of content we’re posting and actually releasing. It takes energy and time.

For us it has been quite the dance to figure out balancing our work as a family of actors and artists with YouTube. We’ve found a way to channel our artistry into it, to pour our creativity into each video.

So, to pour more energy into the creative work, creating our own original content, having the help of an editor has been great. It helps us keep up our consistency and plan the videos we’re having come out soon.
“We really appreciate the reliability. And the extra time we get not having to worry about editing. That’s a huge relief.”
— Matthew J. Vasquez @MaJeliv

What do you appreciate most about the editors at Tasty Edits?

Matthew Vasquez: Just the effectiveness of content production we now have. Our goal is to post one reaction video every week – because that’s definitely more than we’re doing right now. Just the efficiency of recording a bunch of videos. Sitting down and watching multiple episodes or multiple movies within the span of 48–72 hours, and filming the raw footage.

And then they’re being edited. We really appreciate the reliability. And the extra time we get not having to worry about editing. That’s a huge relief, especially when we’re filming reactions to series, like X-Men ‘97.

How has your channel been developing since you started working with Tasty Edits?

Matthew Vasquez: We’ve been able to get videos out consistently and the channel responded to that. I mean, the revenue went up and all of it! I feel like people are engaging more.

Also, Tasty Edits’ editors and thumbnail artists have picked up our style, and learned how to fine-tune our reaction videos to avoid copyright issues on YouTube. So that has been great.
